Program Philosophy: Louisville offers a competitive college hockey experience with the goal of eventually moving up to the ACHA D1 level. Most recruits are capable of playing at the NCAA D3 level. The goal is to win and move up and players are treated just like any other Louisville student-athlete.

Yearly Goals: Qualify for regionals, win the conference tournament and advance to ACHA Nationals.

Campus Support: Support for the program is amazing. Players are treated just like the school’s NCAA D1 athletes. Games are frequently sold out. Players are viewed as University of Louisville athletes. It’s not like being a club team, it’s like you are the U of L hockey team.

Practice Facilities: The Campus Rec Center is state of the art. The rink is 15 minutes from campus, and the team has its own locker room. Players drive to practice, and the team takes nice charter busses for road trips.

What they look for in players: Two-way players that are great character kids off the ice.

Program History/Future: The goal is to compete for the D2 national championship on a yearly basis and ultimately move up to ACHA D1.
