- Selected to play for Team DC in USA Hockey America’s High School Showcase in Pittsburgh – led team in scoring and was among top five in the tournament with 8 points in 4 games

2016-17 Team Maryland 18U AAA (AYHL/ECEL) – PVAHA Champions; Captain, 1st Line, PP, PK
- AYHL 18U AAA scoring champion with 17 goals, 24 assists, 41 points in 23 games
- Second player drafted overall for ECEL All-Star Game at Harvard Dec. 9, 2016
- Led team in goals, assists and points with 30 goals, 45 assists, 75 points overall in 54 games
- Led team in PPG, SHG, GWG and plus/minus and led all forwards in blocked shots
2016 Personally invited to & attended Lincoln Stars (USHL) Main Camp
- Selected to play for Team DC in America’s High School Showcase in Pittsburgh – tied for team scoring lead with 5 points in 4 games
2015-16 Howard Huskies/Maryland Selects 18U AA/AAA (EJEPL Tier 1) – Capt. 1st Line, PP/PK
- 33-19-6, ranked 32nd in nation 18U/Tier 2 & ranked 1st in Maryland – at-large berth in Nationals
- Finished with 75 points (26 goals, 49 assists, in 46 GP) despite missing 8 weeks w/broken foot
- Led team in EJEPL scoring with 24 points despite missing 4 league games w/injury
- Selected to play in EJEPL All-Star Game & named team MVP
- Ranked 3rd overall in goals (6) and 5th in points (9) at USA Hockey Tier 2 Nationals

- 47-17-4, ranked 32nd in nation 16U/Tier 2 & ranked 1st in Maryland
- EJEPL Southern Division points champions, EJEPL overall points champions, playoff runners-up
- Maryland State Tier II champions – qualified for USA Hockey Nationals
- Led team in scoring & plus/minus – 55 goals, 69 assists in 68 games
- Led team in EJEPL Playoff scoring with 4 goals, 3 assists in 5 games
2014 Selected to Attend USA Hockey Southeast District National Camp Tryout
- Picked as one of the top 17 1998 birthyear forwards in PVAHA (MD-VA-DC)

2013-14 Howard Huskies 16U AA Maryland State Champions – 1st Line, PP, PK
- Led team in scoring, GWG goals, & plus/minus (28 goals, 28 assists, 56 points in 55 games)
- Given the team’s “Consistency Award” by the coach – only ’98 to receive an award
2013 Selected to Attend USA Hockey Southeast District National Camp Tryout
- Picked as one of the top 17 1998 birthyear forwards in PVAHA (MD-VA-DC)
2012-13 Baltimore Youth Hockey Club “Player of the Year” – Assistant Team Captain
- Voted top player in entire club by hockey director and coaches (53 goals, 65 assists, 118 points)
Additional Information & Accomplishments
- Co-Recipient of the Park School C. Markland Kelly Award as the school’s top graduating athlete
- Varsity Soccer & Baseball team captain (3-time All-MIAA in baseball; 2016 All-MIAA in soccer)
- Also played 2 years JV and 1 year Varsity Basketball
- Senior project involved making renovations to a rundown, inner-city recreation center
Played 1 year for Dulaney H.S. Co-op Hockey Team:
Assistant Captain, All-Conference, All-State and All-Academic (3.7 weighted GPA) while leading Dulaney to first-ever playoff win and state playoff berth; was also Dulaney’s first-ever first-team All-Conference and All-State selection.

Nicklas Backstrom – Washington Capitals: I think that I see the ice very well and am good at setting my teammates up for scoring opportunities – and I enjoy that. I’m also strong on the puck and good with the puck in tight spaces and am a skilled player. I can be physical when I need to be.
