NAHL Tryout Camp Update

NAHL 2020 SUMMER TRYOUT CAMP UPDATE

This year's NAHL Entry Draft has been moved to July 21. Normally held in June, the draft usually follows a month's worth of predraft camps that each team in the league holds to see players scouts have identified as Tier 2 junior prospects in person before creating their final draft boards.
 
Because of the COVID-19 shutdown, the NAHL decided to hold a three-round supplemental draft in June and provide each team with an additional tender to aid in the player recruitment process during these unprecedented times. This allowed teams to lock in players they already knew they really wanted while essentially allowing more kids to be drafted than in previous years to allow teams a little more margin of error given the circumstances. Usually, tendered and drafted players would attend a "main" selection camp in July along with invited free-agent hopefuls to compete for an invitation to training camp in September. This year, predraft camps have been moved to June and July, with many main camps being pushed to late July and August. Below is the updated schedule of tryout camps for each team.
 
The NAHL is one of two Tier 2 "tuition free" junior leagues in the U.S., along with the NCDC, but it is the only Tier 2 circuit that is sanctioned by USA Hockey.
