Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it fuels your body for the day and sets the metabolism in motion. It’s best to eat within an hour of waking up.
 
Make a selection from the list and vary the choices each day:
  • Assorted cereals – whole grain, limit sugars if possible
  • Breads – whole wheat, 7-grain
  • Eggs – scrambled and poached, use egg whites if possible)
  • Oatmeal with raisins
  • Assorted cold lean meats
  • Assorted yogurt – Greek or lowfat
  • Fresh fruit – bananas, apples, blueberries, raspberries
  • Pancakes/waffles – limit to once or twice per week
  • Whole milk – organic is best (looking for more omega-3 fatty acids)
